EPSA 2013 Newsletter No. 5 June 2013

47 Creative Solutions to “Weather the European Storm”

recognised as EPSA 2013 Best Practices

Following the online evaluation carried out by external and independent evaluators during the week 13-17 May and the Consensus meeting that brought together all 21 expert evaluators from 17 countries at EIPA’s headquarters in Maastricht on 19-20 June, 47 projects out of the 230 submitted to the EPSA 2013 edition have been identified as being Best Practice Certificate recipients. These 47 outstanding public achievements span the whole range of administrative categories and come from 18 European countries as well as from one EU institution.

Moreover, during this second evaluation step it was also agreed that a short-list of projects - from among the 47 best practices - will be visited for validation and verification purposes between July and September and thus are potential runners for the 5 nominees/finalists in each administrative category. Once these visits are over, the members of the EPSA Team at EIPA will report the complete findings and outcomes to an international jury consisting of high-level personalities that will take the final decisions in their meeting which is scheduled to take place on 25 September.

The best practices, prize winners and nominees, as well as honourable mentions, will be presented during a three-day high-level final event and award ceremony in Maastricht (NL) from 25 until 27 November 2013 and all submitters are most welcome to attend this special event.

Keep checking our website at the end of September for the next results and also for more information on the 3-day final event.
